How to recover/find old Wifi Password on Router ?
in this document we are going to learn, how do we recover Router’s Password ? you can change your Router’s Password by logging into router>go to wireless>Security>now where you see your PassPhrase there is an option (click here to display) click on this option you can see your old password. .if you are already Connected to your wireless on windows click here to learn to find saved Wifi password.if you are connected by Mac click here to learn to find saved Wifi on Mac.see the below steps to Find/Recover Old Wifi Password on Router.
Step 1: Login into your router by typing Router’s IP Address.if you don’t know your Router Gateway IP no Problem. you can Find it on the back of your Router where it say IP or Gateway IP. Now My ip is 192.168.1.1 in any Browser like internet explorer, safari, Mozilla Firefox and Chrome and Press enter
Step 2: Now you will this screen on your browser.
Step 3: Type your Login Username and Passwords.you can Find Username and Passwords on the back of your Router. if you still don’t find that info. check the manufacturer’s website or ISP (internet service provider).
Step 4: Now you will see this screen, Click on wireless option.Now Click on any of these two bands (this router is dual band router).
Step 5: Now i have Clicked on 2.4g.
Step 6: Now Click on Security under WLAN 2.4G Band.
Step 6. Now in front of WPA/WAPI PassPhrase you have your password in ** format there is a link which says “Click here to display”.
Step 7: click on “Click here to display”. a small windows will appear saying your password see the image below. some times you also see a password view eye icon in password text box.
So in this way you can find your old password on Router.
